Two people open the same finding. Both make careful edits. One saves, then the other saves, and the first person’s work is gone. Nobody gets a warning, and nobody notices until later.

Dradis now stops that before it starts.

Open a record that a teammate is already editing and you’ll see exactly who has it:

Now you have a real choice. Go back and message Spock, or choose **Edit Anyway** if it can’t wait. It’s a warning and not a hard block, because sometimes you do need to get in there.

This works on Issues, Evidence, Notes, Content Blocks, Cards, Issue Library entries, and Remediation Tracker tickets. When your teammate saves or cancels, the record is free again. And if they close their laptop and leave for the day, the lock expires by itself (after three hours by default).

There’s nothing to set up. It’s on for everyone in Dradis Pro 5.5.0.

Has your team lost work this way before? We’d love to hear how this changes things for you.
